Return & Refund Policy

(1) Right of Withdrawal (EU/EEA)
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Smart Things For Smart People, Kasinostraße 6, 65929 Frankfurt am Main, Germany, Email: support@smart-things-tech.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or email). For your convenience, you may also use our online withdrawal form which will provide you with an immediate electronic confirmation. Please include your order number.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

(2) Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

For this refund, we will use the same payment method that you used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no case will you be charged any fees for this refund.

(3) Returns & Address
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us.

Please contact us before returning any items. Since we work with various logistics partners, we will provide you with the correct return address in writing after receiving your email.

Important: If you exercise your right of withdrawal after the product has already been shipped, you are responsible for the direct cost of return shipping. For your orientation, a standard tracked return package within Germany via carriers like DHL GoGreen typically costs around €12–15, depending on the weight and dimensions.

The deadline is met if you dispatch the goods before the 14-day period has expired.

(4) Damaged or Defective Items
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us immediately. To speed up the process, please send photos or a video of the issue to support@smart-things-tech.com. In these cases, we will cover the return shipping cost or provide a replacement or refund, depending on the situation.

(5) Exclusions from the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to the following contracts:

  • The supply of goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalized.

  • The supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.
